Eskisehir
Up until my undergraduate education I lived in Eskisehir. From very early ages I played the mandolin and in high school I started to get more seriously involved in music by playing keyboard in the school band.

Istanbul...
I moved to Istanbul for pursuing higher education and obtained my undergraduate degree from the Department of Computer Engineering at Bogaziçi University. During my university years, I first took classical guitar classes, but then I started learning bass. In 1995, I played for the album of Istanbul Blues Kumpanyasi. In 1997, I joined  a rock band “Kirik Kalpler” and with the band  I participated to the “Asian Music Festival” in Japan. In the meantime I was also playing with another musical ensemble, “Catwalk” and we produced the EP “Günaydin Hüzün”.

London...
By the time I graduated, I had already made my decision to play bass guitar and considered a career only in music. Therefore, I went to London to study music at London Music School in 1998 and there I graduated with the degree “Bassist of the Year.” in 1999. While I was living in London I performed with my group “Caine” at clubs and pubs. I also attended jam session nights, a sort of tradition at many clubs in London, and performed with many musicians.

Back to Istanbul…
Between 1999 and 2000 I became a member of a rock band “Bulutsuzluk Özlemi” and besides many concerts we recorded the song “Normal” in the tribute album that was presented to singer –songwriter Bülent Ortaçgil. Later, as a session musician I took part in Yavuz Çetin’s “Satilik”, Electronia’s “Saydam Ask”, and Gökalp Baykal’s “Her zaman bir Sarki.” I also took part in pop singer songwriter Göksel’s concert group in this period and toured with her all around Turkey. Soon after I began to play with Babazula in 2002, I became a member of the group and we started to work on an album. After our cooperative work with Mad Professor in 2003, we released our album “Psychebelly dance music” and gave the our concert in Printemps de Bourge Festival, in France. We at the same time made the soundtracks of  the TV serial “Biz Size Asik Olduk”. Some of my compositions that I both played and sang were also included in its soundtrack.

Teaching…
In 2001 I opened Studio Drum&Bass with Serkan Ayman. Here besides the private bass classes I tutored, we organized ensemble performances with our bass and drum students. Although I do not tutor now, I educated many students, most of whom have already held very good positions in the music sector or formed their own groups and played their own music. I am of course very proud of them :)

Musical Performance and Arrangement
Since September 2003 I have been playing with pop rock singer songwriter Feridun Düzagaç. Also, as a proffesional bass player, I perform with cover bands in local scenes. Lately, I have been working on musical arrangements and put my efforts together to be a “cool” arranger and composer..

Motherhood
In 2005, Isil, my beloved daughter, has arrived and further increased my creativity.

And I am still pursuing my dreams in music…
